what happened on your birthday?

Came across this birthday meme at Unravel Me. I always think that "on this day in history" stuff is cool, so here goes. On October 29...

Go to Wikipedia. In the Search box, type your birth month and day (but not year). List three events that happened on your birthday. List two important birthdays and one interesting death. Post this in your journal.

Three events
1787 - Mozart's opera Don Giovanni receives its first performance in Prague.
1886 - The ticker-tape parade is invented in New York City when office workers spontaneously throw ticker tape into the streets as the Statue of Liberty is dedicated.
1929 - The New York Stock Exchange crashes in what will be called the Crash of '29 or Black Tuesday, ending the Great Bull Market of the 1920s and beginning the Great Depression.

Two birthdays
1915 - William Berenberg, American physician and Harvard professor
1920 - Baruj Benacerraf, Venezuelan-born immunologist, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

One death
1932 - Joseph BabiƄski, Polish-French neurologist
